STAIANO Consulting was set up by Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Jonathan Staiano.
Having been a full-time NHS Consultant, I became disillusioned with the way that the Consultant role had been undermined and I left the NHS in 2012 to concentrate on my private practice full-time.
In 2013 I opened The STAIANO Clinic in Edgbaston with a view to providing a higher level of service to my patients in more comfortable surroundings.
What I didn’t realise was how much I relied on the local private hospitals to provide me with patients.
As soon as I opened my clinic, my referrals from the local hospitals plummeted and my overheads soared.
I needed to increase my enquiries and I needed to make sure that patients wanted to come and see me rather than any other doctor at the hospital.
I had been dabbling with paid advertising (Google Adwords, Facebook Ads and magazine articles) at the time but to be honest, I didn’t really know whether I was getting a good return on my investment or not.
As my income dropped, I became very aware of the need to maximise any money I put in to make sure that I would be getting more money out.
Over the years, I have built a practice that delivers a steady flow of self-pay patients using processes and automation and I now help other doctors to do the same.
I offer two online courses, ‘Setting Up A Private Practice’ to get the groundworks in place and ‘The Escape Plan’ for doctors who want to be able to control the flow of patients in to their private practice.
I run the the MYOB club which includes my weekly 612 Podcast and Mastermind Group.
